An Everett man was sentenced Thursday to 54 months in prison for his role in a home invasion robbery Dec. 19 in Ridgefield, in which a victim was tied up and several firearms were stolen.
In an agreement with prosecutors, Regan C. Davis, 53, entered an Alford plea, acknowledging that a jury could find him guilty of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and theft of a firearm. In exchange, Clark County Senior Deputy Prosecutor Kasey Vu asked for dismissal of several other charges.
Two other defendants, including the apparent ringleader of the crimes, pleaded guilty on Monday.
Another alleged accomplice, Jarrod A. Wiebe, 27, of Snohomish has been on trial this week on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, second-degree extortion, first-degree criminal impersonation, and 10 counts of firearm theft. His trial in front of Judge Scott Collier is scheduled to continue next week.
Davis faced between 47 and 61 months in prison for the crimes. His attorney, Renee Alsept, argued for the minimum sentence, given Davis’ lack of previous criminal history and minimal role in the crimes. However, Collier said that given the gravity of the crimes, he felt 54 months was appropriate.
