The city of Vancouver has lifted its burn ban after rain soaked the region Tuesday.
Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli on Wednesday lifted the recreational burn ban issued on Aug. 12 within the city limits. Outdoor recreational fires are now allowed.
“With the recent rains, the conditions that created the extreme fire danger last month are no longer an issue,” Scarpelli said in a news release.
