Impact NW — Kids on the Block seeks volunteers to work in teams of two, presenting educational puppet programs to school and community groups. Topics include drug abuse prevention, healthy eating habits, personal safety and child abuse. Training and materials are provided.

Open House Ministries seeks volunteers at the Second Hand Solutions thrift store and coffee shop.

Evergreen School District and Vancouver Public Schools are in need of classroom and office volunteers, tutors, lunch buddies, and volunteers for special events throughout the year.

Lifeline Connections seeks volunteers to answer phones, track messages, file and use the computer.

Free Clinic of SW Washington needs Spanish interpreters during urgent care, vision and immunization clinic hours.

Clark College Foundation is looking for reception help to answer phones, greet visitors, and prepare outgoing mail.

• The Oregon and Southwest Washington Blood Program is looking for volunteers to help with donor registration or as donor monitors at local blood drives and at the Vancouver donor center.

• The city of Vancouver seeks to fill a vacancy on its Aviation Advisory Committee for a term ending in December 2016. The nine-member group advises the city on matters related to Pearson Field Airport and aviation issues in general. There is no city residency requirement for this position.

The committee meets at noon on the second Tuesday of each month at Pearson Field Airport. The total time commitment varies from two to six hours monthly.
