A man was taken to the hospital Saturday night after the truck he was driving flipped and crashed into a utility pole in Amboy, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Tracey Ray Jennings, 23, of Battle Ground was driving a 1992 Toyota 4Runner west in the 16800 block of Grantham Road when the truck veered off the road, flipped “end over end” and hit the pole, Sgt. Fred Neiman said by email. Deputies and a fire rescue crew were dispatched to the scene at 10:51 p.m.

Jennings, who was thrown from the truck during the crash, was taken by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries described as not being life-threatening, Neiman said. Nobody else was in the truck.

Jennings has been discharged from the PeaceHealth Southwest, hospital staff said Sunday.

The crash brought down power lines and caused a brief power outage in the area, Neiman said. A crew from Clark Public Utilities was called out to repair the lines. According to the utility company’s online outage map, about 400 customers in the Amboy area lost power Saturday night.

Jennings could face a charge of driving under the influence, Neiman said. The case has been referred to the county prosecutor’s office, he said.
