3A GSHL football: Kelso 10, Prairie 7

A first-quarter touchdown and second-quarter field goal were enough for Kelso to open Class 3A Greater St. Helens League play with a win over visiting Prairie.

In a defensive struggle, the Falcons scored in the third quarter on a 18-yard pass from Denzel Hamiel to Greg Bernash.

Prairie (0-3, 0-1 GSHL) was limited to 45 rushing yards and 67 passing yards.

Kelso (2-1, 1-0) totaled 202 rushing yards and 19 passing yards.
