The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its annual open house and safety fair noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the agency’s west precinct, 505 N.W. 179th St.
The event includes a police dog demonstration, a firefighting demonstration, educational exhibits, giveaways and a free hot dog lunch. Children’s activities include a bounce house, a petting zoo and pony rides.
At 12:15 p.m. a small motorcade will arrive at the precinct with honorary Clark County Sheriff Cole Merle, honorary Battle Ground Chief Chase Gretch and Honorary La Center Chief Brooklyn Johnson. Each boy spent the summer getting to know the police departments and participating in community events.
