The fifth annual Camas Girls’ Night Out will offer women a night on the town Thursday, Sept. 25, from 5 to 9 p.m.

This downtown Camas event, a fundraiser for breast cancer and ovarian cancer awareness, will include shopping, dining, and festive activities.

There will be after-hours shopping, specialty cocktails with proceeds going to the event, beauty treatments and massages, treats, photo booth, hip hop dance lessons with Virtuosity Dance, Hoops for Pink, raffleprizes, health awareness information, interactive art, music, and special performances.

Goodie shopping bags will be given to the first 200 women. Those who wear the colors pink or teal will receive a free raffle ticket, and a free raffle ticket will also be provided for every $10 spent in downtown.

Girls Night Out will include a special tribute to Marilyn Goodman who was an active volunteer in the community and the coordinator of the Camas Farmer’s Market. She lost her battle with ovarian cancer in August.

Inspirational activities will include blessing flags that can be made with a blessing, prayer or note in honor or memory of a loved one; interactive art with local artist Elida Field, luminaria bags that can be purchased for $5 to decorate or write a note or memory and will be lit and placed downtown during the event; and a pledge tag board with reminders for women on the important things to do to take care of themselves.

GNO benefits the Pink Lemonade Project and the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and Southwest Washington. It is hosted by the Downtown Camas Association and downtown merchants.

Registration is $20 per person. Event day registration starts at 4 p.m., at the DCA table located at Northeast Fourth Avenue and Birch Street.
