Vancouver’s roller derby team, Storm City Roller Girls, will hold an open recruitment and orientation event 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Storm Shelter, 7503 N.E. 47th Ave., Vancouver.
Those trying out for the team are asked to bring wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, a mouth guard, a helmet and roller skates. Organizers do have some extra supplies on hand; if supplies are needed, message them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/StormCityRollerGirls.
