Nominees for Week 1 fall sports athlete of the week

Nominees for high school fall athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 13. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

ALEXIS FULLER, UNION GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY, won the Hudson’s Bay Run-A-Ree by 19 seconds in 19 minutes, 35 seconds to help Union take the team title.

KADEN HARBERTSON, SKYVIEW BOYS CROSS COUNTRY, placed second in the Hudson’s Bay Run-A-Ree in 15:55 to help Skyview win the team title.

BRIAN HUMPHREYS, CAMAS GOLF, shot a 3-under par 69 to win the Jeff Hudson Invitational at Tri-Mountain by three strokes.

TARYN RIES, RIDGEFIELD GIRLS SOCCER, had two goals and two assists in wins by the 2A Spudders over 4A Skyview and Mountain View.

BROOKE VAN SICKLE, BATTLE GROUND VOLLEYBALL, had 32 kills, 37 assists, 10 digs and 4 aces in two victories for the Tigers last week.
