Mixed results for Clark soccer teams on road trip

The Clark College men’s and women’s soccer teams each came away with a win on a two-game weekend road trip.

The men’s team (5-0-2) won at Wenatchee Valley 1-0 on Friday, then played to a scoreless tie on Saturday at Treasure Valley in Ontario, Ore.

Ian Schimandle had the goal for the Penguins at Wenatchee Valley. Miguel Perez-Flores made three saves at Treasure Valley for the shutout.

The Clark women (2-3-2) won 4-1 at Wenatchee Valley with three goals from Skyview High grad Brenna Bogle and one by Ridgefield grad Brooke Kates. Clark lost to Treasure Valley 2-0.

The Clark teams next host Spokane Valley on Friday beginning with the women’s match at 2 p.m.
