Volunteers are needed by the Washington Trails Association for a trio of trail maintenance efforts in September in Southwest Washington.
On Saturday and Sunday, help is needed at Sawtooth Mountain trail in Indian Heaven Wilderness in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Camping will be available at Cultus Creek campground.
On Sept. 20, a half day work party will build a trail meandering between Vancouver Lake and Buckmire Slough. On Sept. 27, a mile-long trail from Ape Cave to a viewpoint on the south side of Mount St. Helens will be completed and opened officially.
