Vancouver Heights — The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Vancouver, held July 26 and 27 at McLoughlin Middle School, raised more than $216,000.

Dorene Hall of the Hazel Dell Lions team was the top fundraising individual with $3,670, and the Delta Dynamos, a Delta Airlines team based at PDX, pulled in $20,213, becoming the first team in the 26-year history of the event to raise over $20,000.

Eighty teams and more than 1,200 people participated in all. The money supports local cancer programs.
