Clark County — Daimler Trucks North America recently gave $224,000 to local high schools to support their science and career-based programs.

The Portland company donated $7,000 each to 32 schools in Portland and Southwest Washington for the upcoming school year. High schools in Clark County that benefitted were Camas, Columbia River, Fort Vancouver, Hudson’s Bay, Skyview and Washougal.

In addition to the money, a liaison from the company will volunteer to help the schools with presentations, job-shadowing, company tours and more.
