EASTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY, CHENEY
These students from Vancouver, all continuing students at EWU, were recently awarded scholarships: Allison Bock, a senior majoring in international affairs, received a $1,000 Thomas B. Morris Study Abroad Scholarship; Leslie Davis, majoring in social work, received a $9,500 Carper Foundation Scholarship; and Paige Halle, who is majoring in film production, received a $470 Jean Neils Scholarship.
WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY
Kimberly Lawrence of Battle Ground was awarded a $3,000 Laurence J. Peter Memorial Graduate Fellowship by WSU’s College of Education. Lawrence graduated from Battle Ground High School in 2010 and plans to graduate from WSU in 2015 with a degree in teaching secondary English. Lawrence has a Bachelor of Arts in English cum laude. She is a volunteer at Chief Umtuch Middle School.
Autumn Sailer, a senior in WSU’s Creative Media and Digital Culture program, has been awarded the first The Gardner School of Arts and Sciences fellowship in social media strategy and Web analytics. The $1,500 fellowship will be applied toward her tuition. Sailer will work with The Gardner School, a private school for students in preschool through eighth grade, to create a social media strategy and to optimize the school’s website. In return, the Gardner School will give $1,000 to WSU’s CMDC program for software and other educational materials.

Robert Thompson of Vancouver was named to the summer 2014 president’s honor roll with a 4.0 grade point average.
