OTHER CHURCH NEWS

LONGTIME SENIOR PASTORS of The Promise Church, Scott and Lori Schang, stepped down on May 11, and a new leadership team was put in place. The new senior leaders of church include Casey and Ashley Schang, Scott and Lori’s son and daughter-in-law, and Jonathan and Malisa Christopherson, Chris and Chelsea Donald and Aaron and Tasha Christopherson. Everyone on the team has different roles of leadership within the church, but make decisions together that impact the entire church.

Sunday morning fellowship begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. worship service, at the church, 101 Hillshire Drive, Woodland. Upcoming youth activities include worship services, Bible study and X-box, basketball and dodge ball tournaments. * Details, info@thepromise.cc or 360-225-6292.

SHALOM CHAPTER OF HADASSAH, VANCOUVER is selling 8-ounce gift jars of kosher honey to be shipped for Rosh Hashanah on Sept. 24. It is tradition to dip apples in honey to usher in the New Year. Cost is $10 per jar, $9 per jar for orders of 25 or more, including shipping and gift cards. Proceeds benefit Hadassah projects in Israel.
