A motorcyclist was injured Friday morning after he crashed into a stopped car three miles west of Battle Ground.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Sahil Chopra, 23, was westbound on Northeast 219th Street when traffic ahead of him stopped abruptly.

Chopra, who lives in Battle Ground, was unable to stop in time, and lost control of his 2013 Suzuki GSX750.

He was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for evaluation of injuries.

The state patrol blames speed too fast for conditions for the accident, and also said Chopra did not have a motorcycle operator’s endorsement on his driver’s license.
