Woodland residents honored at community picnic

Woodland — Two Woodland residents were recognized by Mayor Grover Laseke during a community picnic on Aug. 26 for their efforts to better the city.

Lori Cash, an administrative clerk for the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, was given the Employee of the Year award for being a friendly, team player who is always willing to lend a hand, according to a press release.

Erik Swenningson, a reserve police officer, was named Volunteer of the Year for being an asset to the department who works hard and is devoted to the city.
