A 9-year-old Battle Ground girl remains in the hospital more than a month after an alleged drunk driver crashed into the minivan driven by her mother.
Agatha Konovalchik was listed in fair condition Wednesday at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland.
Shane Turner, 31, of Battle Ground is accused of being intoxicated when the westbound pickup he was driving struck a southbound minivan at about 6:45 p.m. Sept. 10 at the intersection of Northeast 219th Street and 182nd Avenue near Battle Ground.
Agatha’s mother, Anna Konovalchik, 44, and the girl’s brother, Jacob Konovalchik, 13, were injured in the crash, taken to an area hospital and later released. Agatha was transported via LifeFlight to the Portland hospital, where she was listed in critical condition for the first two weeks after the crash.
