Battle Ground city councilor recognized for hydrant maintenance program volunteer work

Battle Ground: Battle Ground City Council member Bill Ganley paints a fire hydrant, just as he's done with about 1,500 other hydrants in the past 12 years. He was recognized for his volunteer efforts at an Oct. 20 City Council meeting.

Battle Ground — For his help repainting nearly 1,500 fire hydrants in the past 12 years, the Battle Ground City Council on Oct. 20 honored Councilor Bill Ganley with a fire hydrant on wheels. Ganley has been a member of the City Council since 1993 and a volunteer for the city’s Fire Hydrant Maintenance Program since 2002.
