Brandon Casteel of Washougal was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 24.
Casteel collected 46 percent of the 362 votes cast by fans to beat out Gabe Evenson of Columbia River, who had 32 percent.
Casteel rushed the ball 41 times for 397 yards and scored four touchdowns in the Panthers’ win over Fort Vancouver.
The other nominees were Wyatt Aguirre of La Center, Caleb Browning of Union and Liam Fitzgerald of Camas.
