Nominees for high school fall athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 25. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

DIEGO DE LA TORRE, HOCKINSON GOLF: De La Torre shot a 1-over 145 for 36 holes to win the Class 2A district championship by seven shots

ALEXIS FULLER, UNION GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Fuller outkicked Camas’ Emma Jenkins to win the 4A district meet in 18 minutes, 34 seconds.

SAID GUERMALI, CAMAS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Guermali led the Papermakers to a state berth by winning the 4A district meet in 16:04.

DARYA SAMIEE, MOUNTAIN VIEW SWIMMING: Samiee won the 200 freestyle (2:00.47) and 100 butterfly (1:02.05) at the Southwest Washington Invitational in Longview.

DAT VO/THANH VO, HUDSON’S BAY TENNIS: Team Vo beat Alex Wisdom and Michael Pelton of Mark Morris in three sets to capture the Class 2A district doubles championship.
