Scholarships

CEDAR TREE CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Chelsea Hansberry, a 2014 graduate, received a renewable $1,000 honors college scholarship, a renewable music scholarship, and a renewable $11,500 president’s scholarship from Azusa Pacific University, where she majors in leadership and business management. She is the daughter of Kathy and Steven Hansberry.

CENTRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, PORTLAND

Meghan Harkins of Vancouver and a 2014 graduate of Central Catholic High School, received a renewable $13,000 dean’s scholarship from Loyola University Chicago, where she majors in criminal justice. She is the daughter of Kim and Sean Harkins.

PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL

These 2014 Prairie High School graduates received the following scholarships:

Baylee Dolph, daughter of Beth and Ethon Dolph, will study nursing at Northwest Nazarene, where she received an athletic scholarship.

Kiley D. Enger, daughter of Lorena and Gary Enger, is majoring in the exercise science program at Portland Sate University, with a focus on pre-physician assisting. She received a renewable $6,500 out-of-state opportunity scholarship from the university.

Brianna Kirk, daughter of Donna Kirk, will study accounting at Clark College. She received a youth promise scholarship, a governor’s scholarship, and an ETV Program scholarship, all from the state of Washington.

Chris LaValley, son of Cathy and Mark LaValley, received a $2,500 director’s scholarship from Multnomah University, where he is majoring in history.

Mason Pack, son of Sharon and Jay Pack, is studying plastics and composites engineering at Western Washington University. He received a $2,000 opportunity scholarship and a $1,000 leadership scholarship, both from Western, a $2,500 Ewing C. Kelly scholarship, a renewable $2,500 Washington state opportunity scholarship, a $2,000 scholarship from The Foundation for College Christian Leaders, a $1,000 Lewis River Rotary scholarship, a $2,000 Grimm Enterprises scholarship, a $500 Axel Forsman scholarship, and a $500 Dick Grabenhorst athletic scholarship.

Madeline L. Ross, daughter of Carol and William Ross, is an engineering major at Boise State University where she received a scholarship.

Jace VavRosky, son of Kristi and Darrell VavRosky, received a renewable $8,000 scholarship from Rocky Mountain College, in Billings, Mont., where he is on the golf team. He’s undecided on a major.

RIDGEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL

These 2014 Ridgefield High School graduates received the following scholarships:

Emily E. Boyd, daughter of Mylissa and Ryan Boyd, will study political science at Western Oregon University, where she received a renewable $1,500 presidential scholarship.

Amber Hill, daughter of Wendy and Dan Hill, will study environmental engineering at Oregon State University, where she received a provost’s non-resident scholarship.

Brooklynn J. Kates, daughter of Tanya and Michael Kates, will study business at Clark College. She received a soccer scholarship.

Dalton Ries, son of Kathy Morgan and Pat Ries, will study nursing at Clark College. He received a $2,000 Kaiser Permanente scholarship.

Teryn Schultz, daughter of Cecilia and John Schultz, will study nursing at Washington State University. She received a scholarship from the Vancouver Police Guild.
