Cole Zarcone of Camas was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 18.
Zarcone collected 43.5 percent of the 3,187 votes cast by fans to beat out Tommy Harshaw of Hockinson, who had 42.7 percent. The two were separated by 15 votes.
Zarcone rushed for 176 yards on 25 carries, scored three touchdown and was a standout on defense as Camas beat Union.
The other nominees were Nate Eggleston of Ridgefield, Blake Ingram of Skyview and Preston Jones of Mountain View.
