Two Battle Ground teenagers were arrested Monday night after people reported gunshots were fired near the 1700 block of West Main Street, which is west of Fred Meyer.

No one was injured and no property was damaged.

Officers interviewed witnesses who identified two suspects and their vehicles. Around 10:30 p.m., police found the pair about a half mile away in the 500 block of West Main Street. They immediately took into custody a 17-year-old boy who had a long gun and ammunition in his vehicle, according to the Battle Ground Police Department.

The second suspect, Jaysun Cory Lobdell, 18, allegedly attempted to elude police in his vehicle. He was taken into custody nearby in the 400 block of Southeast Fourth Street, where police say he was found with a firearm and admitted to discharging the weapon. Lobdell was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of reckless endangerment, attempting to elude a police vehicle and being a driver under 21 consuming alcohol.

The 17-year-old, whose name was not released, faces possible charges of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was released to his parent.
