Nominees for high school fall athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 18. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian

TINA ELLIOTT, CAMAS VOLLEYBALL: Elliott had 76 assists, 28 digs and five aces in a pair of league wins for the first-place Papermakers.

BEN GRUHER, UNION GOLF: Gruher shot a 1-under-par 143 for 36 holes to post a one-shot victory in the Class 4A district tournament at Tri-Mountain Golf Course.

KATZXIA MOUA, WASHOUGAL SOCCER: Moua, the goalkeeper, had seven saves in a 2-1 upset win over first-place Ridgefield and had another six saves in a 2-1 overtime win against Woodland.

COLTON REED, MOUNTAIN VIEW TENNIS: Reed had a pair of straight-set wins as Mountain View completed an undefeated dual-meet season.

MAKENA WILCOX, COLUMBIA RIVER SWIMMING: Wilcox won the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and helped River win the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay in a win over Kelso.
