After leading by only four at halftime, the Ridgefield Spudders flipped a switch and scored 28 unanswered points to defeat Fort Vancouver.
The first half was tightly contested as both teams scored three touchdowns in the second quarter after a scoreless first.
Fort’s Jeremiah Davis scored on a 60-yard option run to make it 15-12 Ridgefield with 3:16 left in the half. Fort then went for an onside kick and recovered it, leading to a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Suell to Jorge Regalado.
Nathan Eggleston scored his second touchdown of the quarter with 46 seconds left to make it 22-18 Ridgefield at halftime.
