Playing in his first game of the season Max Hiller made a big impact for La Center, scoring two touchdowns in the 1A Trico League victory at Stevenson.

La Center coach John Lambert said Hiller had missed most of the season after having his appendix removed and then recovering from a dislocated elbow.

Even more than his offense, Hiller’s defensive stop at the goal line on fourth down just before halftime helped spark the win.

“That was the turning point for the game,” Lambert said. “We’re excited he’s back and making plays.”

Wyatt Aguirre also scored two touchdowns for La Center and threw for a TD as well.
