Minnehaha — The Vancouver youth leadership group LEO Legends lent a hand to a 95-year-old World War II veteran by helping clean up his lawn and flower beds during a recent service day.

On a Saturday last month, members of the Fort Vancouver Lions Club-sponsored youth group visited the Minnehaha home of Chet Plotner to spruce up his property.

While they worked that morning, he visited with the kids and complimented their work. LEO Legends members range from 11 to 18 years old.
