Vancouver — The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council last week picked 15 local projects to receive nearly $10 million in federal transportation funds.

Among the projects to be implemented between 2015 and 2018 are upgrades to portions of Northeast 18th Street, Northeast 94th Avenue, Northeast 119th Street and the intersection of state Highway 502 and Highway 503 in Battle Ground, among other work throughout the county, according to the agency.

The transportation council also approved its 2015-2018 Transportation Improvement Program, which lays out $146 million in transportation priorities and projects during the next four years.
