Week 6 prep football player of the week: Josh Anderson, Stevenson

Josh Anderson of Stevenson was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 11.

Anderson collected 51 percent of the 1,182 votes cast by fans to beat out Liam Fitzgerald of Camas, who had 29 percent.

Anderson rushed for 95 yards on 17 carries and two TDs, and added nine tackles and an interception in the Bulldogs’ win over Kalama.

The other nominees were Josh Emmy of Skyview, Rey Green of Evergreen and Cole Judd of La Center.

Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Saturday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Players may be elected player of the week once per month, and no player can be nominated for the honor in consecutive weeks.
