R.A. Long controlled the clock and capitalized on its opportunities while dominating on the defensive end en route to a 26-7 victory over Prairie at District Stadium.

The Lumberjacks scored a passing, rushing and defensive touchdown, along with a field goal and a safety.

Austin Darnell led the team with 74 yards on 16 carries with a score, while freshman quarterback Conner Wallace kept it simple, throwing for 71 yards, completing 6 of 8 attempts.

The story was the defense as R.A. Long blocked a punt and ran it in for a touchdown, along with a safety early in the second quarter.

Prairie had trouble sustaining momentum throughout, although sophomore quarterback Kevin Aguirre was 8 of 13 in the second half with 88 yards. Kyle Schulson finished with 37 yards through the air and 43 yards rushing and the Falcons’ lone score.
