CAMAS — The Camas School District is looking for volunteers to serve on its Student Health Advisory Council.

The 20-member committee advises district board members and administrators on student health and fitness issues. Members serve a three-year term and meet four times a year. They also work as representatives for specific schools throughout the district.

Administrators encourage teachers, parents of students and other community members with ties to Camas schools to apply. Ideal candidates should have a background in nutrition, health and fitness education, counseling, social work or a number of other related fields, district officials said.

Those who wish to apply should send in a résumé and letter of interest by Oct. 20 to Molly Ndoloum, the council’s chairwoman. Ndoloum can be reached via email at molly.ndoloum@camas.wednet.edu or by mail at Liberty Middle School, located at 1612 N.E. Garfield St. in Camas.
