Breast center to offer free exams Saturday

Uninsured or underinsured women can receive a free mammogram at an event Saturday.

The Kearney Breast Center at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and the state Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program are hosting the event, which includes clinical breast exams, 3-D digital screening mammograms and a women’s health fair.

Women must be uninsured or underinsured, at least 40 years old and live in Washington to qualify. Participants will also need to provide their monthly household income, as well as a Social Security number and birthdate for each family member. Citizenship is not required.

The event is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kearney Breast Center, Physicians’ Pavilion fourth floor, 200 N.E. Mother Joseph Place, Suite 240. Registration for screenings ends at 2 p.m.
