Man missing from Vancouver VA campus

Godfrey Melton left the Veterans Affairs medical center last night

Police are asking the public to help find a man who went missing from the Vancouver Veterans Affairs campus Wednesday night.

Godfrey Melton, 55, left the campus at 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. in the Central Park neighborhood around 10:30 p.m. He’s described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds with short black/gray hair, a mustache and brown eyes.

He is not a threat to the public, but should return to the hospital for his health and welfare, the agency said.

Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Portland VA police at 503-808-1911.
