James Price of Camas was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 4.
Price collected 43 percent of the 3,141 votes cast by fans to beat out Caleb Browning of Union, who had 42 percent.
Price caught nine passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Skyview.
The other nominees were Austen Johnson of Hockinson, Jordan Marti of Prairie and Eli Whitmire of Woodland.
Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Saturday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Players may be elected player of the week once per month, and no player can be nominated for the honor in consecutive weeks.
