Non-league football: Bethel 27, Mountain View 21

Preston Jones scored three touchdowns, but Mountain View fell short to Bethel, 27-21 Saturday at Art Crate Stadium in Spanaway.

After Bethel (5-0) took its final lead of the game, Mountain View (1-4) was driving but fumbled and Bethel recovered at midfield and was able to run out the clock.

Jones scored on runs of 12, 44 and 6 yards for the Thunder. His 6-yard TD run in the fourth quarter tied the game at 21-21 with 5:11 to play.

The winning score by Bethel came with 2:31 remaining in the game. Bryce Missey connected with Collin White on a 13-yard TD pass. It was White’s second TD of the game and Missey’s second TD pass.
