Vancouver — The Vancouver Watersheds Alliance is offering grants of up to $1,500 each for recognized city of Vancouver neighborhoods that want to pursue sustainability- and community-building projects.
“Projects must enhance sustainability through volunteer-driven, on-the-ground environmental work or education,” the website says. Potential projects and past grants have included community gardens, rain gardens, pet waste stations and cigarette receptacles, street murals and bulletin boards, and bat and bee boxes.
