Esther Short — The Mount St. Helens Institute’s Boots and Bow Ties Dinner and Silent Auction brought in $106,000 for the institute’s science, education and stewardship programs.
The fundraiser, which may turn out to be the first of an annual series, was held Nov. 15 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington; more than 160 supporters dressed to the theme by mixing and matching cocktail attire and outdoor wear.
