A tip-in by Jason Smarr in overtime lifted the Clark College men’s basketball team to a 76-75 win at Bellevue on Saturday to open the NWAC season.
Clark battled back after a sluggish first half where the Penguins made just 4 of 14 free throws and 1 of 7 three-pointers.
“It’s hard to win on the road when you shoot that way,” Clark coach Alex Kirk said.
Clark was down by six with two minutes to play, and managed to take a three point lead in the closing seconds before Bellevue tied it to send the game into overtime.
