An 11-year-old Battle Ground girl was injured Friday in a collision in the southbound lanes of Interstate 205 north of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A WSP bulletin said Eyelina Chiriac was the passenger in a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Christopher S. Chiriac, 45, of Battle Ground that crashed into the rear of a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Meagan D. Hallack, 28, of Kelso.

Hallack had stopped in the left lane for traffic when her car was struck from behind by the Toyota, the WSP bulletin said.

The girl was the only person injured in the 7:02 p.m. crash, according to the patrol. It said said she was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
