Taryn Ries of Ridgefield soccer was voted The Columbian’s high school fall sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 15.
Ries collected 48 percent of the 262 votes cast by fans to beat out Darya Samiee of Mountain View swimming, who had 28 percent, and Evi Wilson of Columbia River volleyball, who had 24 percent.
Ries had two goals and three assists in two wins as the Spudders reached the 2A state semifinals for the first time in school history.
These were the only nominees for the honor this week.
This was the final athlete of the week vote of the fall season.
