Man sweeps Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge photo contest

Ridgefield — Photographer Gary Davenport won not only first place, but placed second and third in the annual Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge’s Photography Contest. Davenport picked up $550 in gift cards for Pro Photo Supply for his wins. In the youth category, Dehila Shaw won first place for her photo of a frog resting in water while Abby Orth placed second and third for her photos of birds living in the refuge. The winners were announced at the refuge’s annual BirdFest and Bluegrass Celebration last month.
