Nominees for high school fall sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 8. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.
• CHANSE GILBERT, SKYVIEW BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Gilbert was the fastest local runner at the state meet, placing seventh in the 4A meet in 15:35.
• ALEXIS FULLER, UNION GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Fuller was the top local finisher at the state meeting, placing third in the 4A meet in 17:51.
• LAUREN HARRIS, CAMAS VOLLEYBALL: Harris recorded 22 kills and 32 digs in two matches in the 4A district title, sending the Papermakers to the district title.
