Nathan Crary and Owen Carlson of Columbia River tennis were voted The Columbian’s high school fall sports athletes of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 1.
Crary and Carlson collected 64 percent of the 1,663 votes cast by fans to beat out Makayla Woods of Union soccer, who had 19 percent.
The doubles team placed fourth in the bi-district tournament to earn a state tournament berth.
The other nominees were Austin Blankenship of Columbia River boys cross country, Michaela Bruns of Prairie girls cross country and Brooke Van Sickle of Battle Ground volleyball.
Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Monday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Thursday.
