PORTLAND — The 17th annual Pacific Northwest Fly Tyers Rendezvous will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Jackson Armory, 6255 N.E. Cornfoot Road.

Admission costs $3 and the event continues until 4 p.m.

The Fly Fishing Arts and Conservation Society sponsors the rendezvous. Six flyfishing groups, including Clark-Skamania Flyfishers and Salmon Creek Flyfishers, are members of the society.

Money from the event is split among the groups to support fisheries conservation, protect the environment and encourage the growth of fishing.

A silent auction will feature fishing, camping and outdoor clothing items donated by society members and others.

The participating clubs designate a recipient for their individual share of the proceeds. Past recipients have included Salmon Watch and Casting for Recovery.
