All southbound lanes of Interstate 205 will close overnight tonight while crews install a new sign over the freeway, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The closure will affect southbound I-205 from its split from Interstate 5 to Northeast 134th Street. The stretch of I-205 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, according to WSDOT.
During the closure, workers will install a new 24-foot overhead advisory sign with better nighttime reflectivity, according to the agency.
WSDOT is also planning nightly closures of the offramp connecting northbound I-5 to Northeast 139th Street, plus one lane of I-5, starting tonight for sign replacement work. The closures will last from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night starting tonight until Saturday, according to WSDOT.
The work is part of the $133 million Salmon Creek Interchange Project, which opened to traffic this year.
