Week 9 prep football player of the week nominees

Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 31. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

JACK BAUER, UNION: Bauer rushed for 135 yards, 123 in the second half, and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in the fourth quarter against Skyview.

DAVID BISHOP, FORT VANCOUVER: Bishop caught five passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns. He also intercepted two passes, including one he returned 11 yards for a touchdown against Woodland.

MAX HILLER, LA CENTER: Hiller ran for 188 yards, including TDs run of 3, 65 and 84 yards, and he had an 80-yard touchdown reception in a win over Seton Catholic.

TREVOR HUDDLESTON, WOODLAND: Huddleston caught six passes for 240 yards, including TD pass plays of 72 and 88 yards, and he head an 88 yard kickoff return for a TD in a win over Fort Vancouver.

PRESTON JONES, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Jones rushed for 217 yards on 35 carries and scored six touchdowns against Evergreen. Jones also had an interception on defense.
