Four people were sent to the hospital Friday after a three-vehicle collision on state Highway 14 that pushed one of the vehicles on top of the highway median, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash was reported at 11:48 a.m. near the split to Interstate 5.
Donna Strain, 82, of Vancouver was heading west on state Highway 14 in a Cadillac CTS. The vehicle rear-ended a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stopped behind traffic waiting for an I-5 bridge lift. The Jeep was pushed into the median, and ended up on top of it. Meanwhile, the Cadillac continued westbound and struck the rear of a Chevrolet Trail Blazer that had been in front of the Jeep, the State Patrol reported.
Strain was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where she was listed in serious condition Friday night.
The driver of the Jeep, Rosemary Krystofiak, 63, of Gardnerville, Nev., was sent to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Hambleth Ocho Amendoza, 29, and passenger Jesus Jara Dominguez, 37, both of Woodland, were also sent to the Salmon Creek hospital. None of them were listed in the patient directory Friday night.
