HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTEES

Thomas Gregory, a former Hudson’s Bay High School student, was inducted into the Pi Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society at Park University, Parkville, Mo.

Alec Masson of Camas has been elected to Lambda Sigma, a national honor society, at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wis., where he is a freshman.

Shalee Mosley of Camas and Anna Stewart of Ridgefield have been initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Both are students at Oregon State University.

INTERNATIONAL DECA COMPETITION WINNER

Liz Reynolds of Vancouver, and a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham, took first place in the Travel and Tourism category at the 2014 International Career Development Conference, April 23-26 in Washington, D.C. At the conference, roughly 2,000 college students from around the world compete in business simulations and scenarios.

LEARNING AND LIBERTY AWARD

Lori Simpson, Educational Service District 112’s executive director of communications and public engagement, has received the Learning and Liberty Award from the Washington School Public Relations Association at a May 1 WSPRA workshop in Leavenworth. During her 30-year career with ESD 112, Simpson has coordinated bond and levy campaigns resulting in millions of dollars for state-of-the-art facilities, and assuring operational resources for schools statewide.
