Clark College concert band, choir to perform

The Clark College concert band and concert choir will perform a spring concert, Preludes and Prose, 7:30 p.m. June 13 in the Durst Theatre at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3101 Main St.

Under the direction of April Duvic, the choir’s music includes “A Red, Red Rose” by James Mulholland, two works by Clark College alumnus Brandon Stewart and Donald Appert’s newest work, “Lied.”

Directed by Richard Inouye, the concert band’s music includes “Symphonic Prelude” by Mark Camphouse, inspired by the American soldiers buried in the Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy and “Casey at the Bat,” featuring guest narrator Rip Ramsey, assistant baseball coach at Clark and the voice of Penguin basketball.
